Castel Malawi joined partners and leaders across the private sector in commemorating World AIDS Day during the International Candlelight Memorial ceremony held in Blantyre. The event brought together key institutions including the National Aids Commission, MBCHealth, MANASO, MANET+, MCCCI, and the Blantyre District Council as well as the city’s Mayor Jomo Osman, uniting stakeholders in a shared commitment to end HIV and AIDS.
As part of the day’s activities, Castel Malawi participated in a solidarity march that highlighted the importance of prevention, treatment, care, and support for all Malawians. Particular emphasis was placed on encouraging men in formal employment to take a more active role in their health and wellbeing—an area where increased engagement can make a significant impact.
The commemoration also offered an opportunity for meaningful conversations on workplace wellness, equitable access to services, and the role of the private sector in strengthening national HIV response efforts.
As a committed partner in community wellbeing, Castel Malawi remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote awareness, equity, and healthier workplaces across the country. 🕯
