Castel Malawi Limited has celebrated the dedication and commitment of 69 of its longest-serving employees in 2024 through an awards program that spanned Mzuzu, Lilongwe, and Blantyre.
The recognition events kicked off in Mzuzu and Lilongwe, where six employees at each distribution center were honored. On Christmas Eve, the celebrations concluded in Blantyre, where 57 more employees received certificates and gifts, including iron sheets, upright fridges, mountain bikes, and double mattresses, tailored to their years of service.
Speaking at the awards ceremony in Blantyre, Castel Malawi’s Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Thomas Mafuli, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to employee motivation.

“Recognizing our employees is essential to ensuring they remain dedicated and committed, especially as we navigate challenging times. Despite facing hurdles in 2024, including Forex and fuel shortages, our employees have been instrumental in keeping the company afloat,” Mafuli said.

Jean N’thini, who was honored for 30 years of service, expressed gratitude for the recognition.
“This company has been my home for 30 years. To be celebrated for my contributions is an honor I deeply cherish. I encourage my colleagues to work hard so they too can be recognized in the future,” she said.
The annual event reflects Castel Malawi’s enduring appreciation for the hard work and loyalty of its employees, who remain at the heart of the company’s success.
