Castel Malawi has been awarded 1st Prize in Labour Law Compliance at the 2024 Employer of the Year Awards, a distinction presented during this year’s Labour Day celebrations held in Balaka.
The ceremony was presided over by His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi.
The award was received by Castel Malawi’s Managing Director, Mr. Thomas Reynaud, who accepted the honour on behalf of the company.
The recognition serves as a testament to Castel Malawi’s ongoing commitment to fostering a workplace that values compliance, fairness, and the well-being of its employees.
Castel Malawi has consistently implemented proactive measures to uphold labour standards, including the Castel Malawi Workers Union (CAMAWU), which operates under the Malawi Congress of Trade Unions (MCTU). This partnership ensures that employee voices are heard and that labour relations remain transparent and constructive.
